Samsung HW-Q990H

The Samsung HW-Q990H sounds superb, offers all the features you could want, connects to nearly everything, and is easy to set up, making it the best all-in-one home theater system at this price.

Samsung’s HW-Q9990H might not exactly reinvent the wheel where the brand’s flagship soundbars are concerned, but it still manages to find a couple of small improvements to what were already the finest full surround soundbar in town

The Samsung HW-Q990H is yet another fantastic flagship soundbar from Samsung that delivers the same superb Dolby Atmos performance as its predecessor. Powerful, detailed and precise, the Q990H is also packed with features. While it could do with a design refresh, and it doesn't offer a ton of upgrades over its predecessor, it is still phenomenal.

I’ve reviewed several Samsung flagship soundbars in the past, and I’ve always been impressed. The Samsung HW-Q990H is no different; this thing absolutely kicks butt. But it will set you back a bit of money. If you have the budget and you’re serious about your home theater sound, the Samsung HW-Q990H is the one you should get. Especially if you’re pairing it with a Q-Symphony TV. I recommend getting the entire setup: soundbar, sub, and satellites. It’s well worth the investment and should last you a very long time.

If you're looking for the best surround sound for a big Samsung TV, then the HW-Q990H is an unrivalled option. If you're a movie lover, have got the space to accommodate its four speakers, and no neighbours to upset, then this Samsung will negate your need to ever visit a cinema again thanks to superbly immersive Dolby Atmos delivery. Sure, it's basically the same model as last year's flagship – so if you can get the Q990F for half the price then absolutely do – but when that stock sells out, this will be the unrivalled option to buy.

Samsung’s considered approach to tuning the HW-Q990H has paid off nicely, and the subtle upgrades make all the difference
