Patriot Viper Elite II DIMM DDR4

The Patriot Viper Elite II, 16GB DDR4-4000, is one more Patriot memory kit designed for gamers who care about compatibility but can live with slightly lower performance. The memory performs well and has no problems with compatibility with modern motherboards. It could have tighter timings that would improve the performance, but looking at our results, it wouldn’t change much.

It’s easily some of the best RAM I’ve tested, and it’s honestly as simple as that. RAM is purely a numbers game, capacity, latency, clock speeds. This memory has respectable timings that make it competitive, 16GB is plenty of capacity, but 4000 MHz right out of the box is very fast for DDR4. Of course, we’re hitting the end of DDR4 now, with DDR5 on the horizon, so it’s no surprise Patriot are good at getting great performance out of such compact modules; they’ve had a lot of practice at this point.

If you are looking for some inexpensive gaming memory kit, then the Viper Elite II 32GB DDR4-4000 seems like a very interesting option. It’s fast, offers good compatibility with various motherboards, and most importantly, inexpensive. It’s a perfect mix for all gamers who don’t want to waste time on configuration, but rather spend time with their favorite game titles.
