One thing we've never fully understood here at OC3D is brand loyalty. We can appreciate the simplicity or uniformity if you have all the components in your system from a single manufacturer. If for no other reason than you just need a single "control" application running. What we don't understand about it though is people who dismiss a certain brand or model simply because it's different. After all, every famous brand today was once new. With manual OC we almost broke the 3 GHz barrier, memory overclocked better than on any other RTX 4090. This ensured that the Palit GameRock reached a 3rd spot in overall performance after OC, right behind the offerings from ASUS and MSI. The differences between cards are fairly small though, and the silicon lottery also plays a role here. Palit hasn't provided any pricing yet, but we expect that the card will sell for around $1700 based on pricing from other board partners with similar cards. $1700 would be a $100 increase over the NVIDIA Founders Edition baseline pricing for RTX 4090. We're not aware of any model that sells for below $1600. These $100 get you 2% higher performance out of the box, nice RGB lighting and a dual BIOS. I feel like the low noise levels with the quiet BIOS are the strongest selling point here. All custom designs tested today are really good and the differences are minimal. In markets where the FE is not available, Palit's card could be an interesting option, or maybe opt for one of the non-OC models—you won't miss the 2%, and saving $50-$100 will always help.

Palit also tried to give this card the most striking appearance, with its crystal-like appearance on the front face of the cooler shroud, which is illuminated by LEDs. On RTX 30-series GameRock cards, this is made to appear like crushed ice floating on water, but here, it appears like ornaments in a kaleidoscope.
