As is often the case as a product range nears the end of its life there is a model that is a combination of everything that has been learned during its lifespan, and the RTX 3090 Ti is exactly that. It isn't a revolution when compared to the performance numbers that we've seen from the vanilla RTX 3090, but when you're already pumping out fully smooth 4K gaming with all the bells and whistles turned on, we weren't expecting the RTX 3090 Ti to be a jaw dropping improvement. It's an evolution. Where it really scores big points with us though is the combination of this evolutionary level of performance to a price that is south of £2K. Of course it's still eye-wateringly expensive, but it's a flagship card. Indeed it is the fastest GPU on the planet. There aren't many products in any area of commerce that are the peak of their segment and also cheap as chips. No matter what you're looking for, if you want the best then you have to pay for it. What we're very happy to see is that, unlike the past couple of years, the new launch of the RTX 3090 Ti cards means that if you have got the funds available to pay for it then there are actually models on shelves. You don't have to go down dark alleyways at night to an address you got from Telegram just to come home with a card. That pricing might seem like an odd thing to fixate upon, but when you compare the performance of the RTX 3090 Ti to the performance you could get six months ago for a couple of big ones - usually the RTX 3080 Ti - then it becomes something of a bargain. Additionally when you compare the performance of it to the regular RTX 3090 the refinements of higher clock speed, faster memory, and more CUDA Cores flex their muscles in the most demanding tests to bring even more performance than the already hilariously capable flagship card it supercedes. The Palit Game Rock OC model we tested today continues their long streak of excellence in build quality and thermal performance. That massive cooler and triple fans really get the job done, allowing the card to boost harder, for longer. We know the glitz and showy-ness of the crystal effect aRGB fan surround can be a little divisive, but if you've wanted a card that really shows off your investment then there are none finer. The Palit Game Rock is a sledgehammer performer that runs cool and quiet. You can't ask for more.
