NBA 2K24 - Kobe Bryant Edition (Xbox One/SX)

NBA2K24 spaltet die Gemüter der Fans. Ich selbst bin echt zufrieden und glücklich - anderer wiederum so gar nicht. Auch in meinem Umfeld werden fehlende oder gefühlt unterentwickelte Features bemängelt. Das gibt leider Abzug, was Preis/Leistungsverhältnis angeht.

Even if this isn’t just an NBA 2K issue (it isn’t), microtransactions remain a major problem here. One that can easily take away from an otherwise fairly enjoyable experience. The gameplay tweaks on next-gen platforms aren’t overwhelming, but there are gradual steps being taken. Streamlining MyCareer is a step in the right direction even if it doesn’t entirely hit the mark. Having another era to choose from coupled with the down-to-the-detail presentation that continues to set NBA 2K above the rest is a win.

NBA 2K24 continues down the path the series has been taking for a long time. It takes a few more steps toward capturing the real on court action in digital form, making some more realistic tweaks to the gameplay, but at the same time it remains mired by almost everything off court.

Following the innovative and pleasantly surprising NBA 2K23, I expected Visual Concepts to build upon its success and introduce even more improvements with its latest entry in the long-running basketball series. But instead of mirroring the Black Mamba's gradual rise to permanent relevancy, NBA 2K24 sadly feels like a stop-gap – a quick hit to temporarily satisfy diehard fans.
