Corsair HS60 Pro gelb

Today we're taking a look at Corsair's latest headset, the HS60 Pro Surround. There's an included USB DAC for 7.1 surround sound audio as well as 50mm diameter neodymium drivers. These things alone, coupled with a low price point, seems to point to an aggressive entry into the budget market. The market for budget headphones really seems to be heating up lately. Good thing for us. Let's see how the Corsair HS60 Pro Surround fares.

This headset hit every major point I look for when shopping for a headset. Comfort, Sound, Versatility. I am impressed with the memory foam ear cups and headband. The 7.1 surround sound when using this headset with the USB dongle is really good and could easily see myself using this headset while listening to music, actually still am as I finish up this review. The versatility of this headset is great. I can plug it straight into my phone and listen to music while I am out and if I had other gaming consoles I am sure that it would be just as easy. Great job Corsair!

Compared to the HS50, the HS60 Pro Surround offers the same audio quality. However, you get more features. The MIC has been improved and now is discord certified with noise cancellation. Next to that, you have a choice of connecting this headset over the 3.5mm jack or use the included USB soundcard. That last one can only be used on PC, but that does open up the iCUE software suite for virtualized 7.1 surround sound and the EQ. The price for all this hearing aid is 69 USD, and that's okay, not expensive but certainly that isn't cheap either. With the ability to tweak the headset to your liking sound wise is a nice one. Audio purists, however, will stick to the 3.5mm jack. The boom-stick MIC the HS60 offers overall very decent MIC quality. In the end this is a properly good headset, maybe slightly on the high side pricing wise. But definitely recommended as a proper gaming headset.
