be quiet!

Es wäre also durchaus praktisch, wenn be quiet!

The new member of the Light Base family has taken the world by storm with its unique features and versatility. Space and versatily is the name of the game when it comes to a chassis and it seems like the 900FX can provide both.

One complaint many consumers had over the years about be quiet! was that they had been releasing the same type of PC cases and well, it’s great to see them move to panoramic models (and just in time for both the latest Intel and AMD motherboards and CPUs). The Light Base 900 FX is not only great looking (4 ARGB fans and a 1.5 meter long ARGB strip) and spacious (two 420mm and one 360mm radiators along with 495mm long GPUs, 190mm tall CPU air coolers and 225mm PSUs is certainly not something we see a lot), it’s also probably the only case around right now that you can also use horizontally and invert in a matter of a few seconds (something which I expect will appeal to many people). Build quality is also very good, the 4 pre-installed Light Wings 140mm fans are almost inaudible and the ability to use one of the latest motherboards with backside connectors is certainly welcome. If I had to nitpick, I’d point out that even though the rear drive cage has room for 2 trays be quiet! only includes one so if you have two 3.5” drives you will need to buy a second one from them.

The Be Quiet! Light Base 900 FX is a case that truly embraces the concept of versatility. One of its most unique features is the ability to effortlessly switch between multiple orientations. Whether you prefer a traditional vertical setup, an inverted layout with the motherboard upside down, or even a horizontal configuration, the Light Base 900 FX adapts to your needs, although I suspect most people will pick a configuration and stick with it, rather than change it every other day. This flexibility extends to its impressive hardware compatibility. The Light Base 900 FX can house a variety of motherboards, ranging from compact Mini-ITX boards to expansive XL and E-ATX. This ensures that builders aren’t limited in their choice of core components, the case offers ample clearance for even the most massive graphics cards, coolers, PSUs and more. Storage options are great, with an HDD cage and SSD mounts, and the option to expand this if you feel the need for even more, although I suspect few people will need more given the enthusiast market has shifted largely to M.2 storage. Cooling potential is another area where the Light Base 900 FX excels. The case can accommodate 10 x 140mm fans and multiple massive radiators, allowing for comprehensive air or water cooling setups, so whichever you prefer, it’s going to be pretty epic. The Light Base 900 FX certainly has striking aesthetics. The fully windowed side and front panels offer an unobstructed view of the hardware inside, while the Integrated ARGB lighting adds a touch of personalisation that really grabs your attention. I love that it looks a little big of retro about the design, but it’s unmistakably very modern.
