Apple iPhone Air 1TB lichtgold

The iPhone Air is Apple’s most interesting, fun and likely divisive phone in a decade. It’s surprisingly durable, designed with such flair that it feels wonderful to pick up and does what it sets out to do very well. But, there are sacrifices here – and for some, they will simply be too much.

The ultra-thin iPhone Air is better than you’d expect, but it’s still too high a price to pay for a slim frame.

The iPhone Air is Apple’s boldest design refresh in years – it’s almost impossibly thin at 5.64mm, yet still sturdy thanks to the use of titanium and Ceramic Shield. Its 6.5-inch ProMotion display and iOS 26’s Liquid Glass makeover feel purpose-built for this form factor – even after a week of use, this still feels like Apple’s most exciting design refresh in years. Battery life is solid if not class-leading, and the single 48MP camera limits flexibility, but for those who value design and portability above all else it’s sexy and stunning – and maybe a new kind of Pro.

Review: Concerns about the durability of Apple's thinnest iPhone were quickly put to rest once I got my hands on it. And despite a scaled back camera and slimmer battery, there's a lot to love.

The Apple iPhone Air is an exciting phone that favors design and aesthetics over features and raw performance. It looks terrific and is a joy to use, but lacks some capabilities of other models.

It might not be the most affordable iPhone or the one with the most cameras, but for anyone who puts a premium on style and sleekness, the iPhone Air is without a doubt Apple's coolest handset in years.
